Shipping Woes                   (Except from our logistics company)

 “You are all no doubt aware of the ongoing shipping delays and disruptions, worldwide. There has been much coverage of this in the media.

The media doesn’t always get all the facts together and not always in the right sequence, nor with the emphasis in the right direction. However the under lying message is still the same – the industry is still in a mess

Major Price increases are being charged to importers

That covers the cost of getting containers on ships and struggling to get those containers to New Zealand, and then comes port congestion.

The wait time for ships to get a berth at Ports of Auckland is currently up to 17 days and is expected to get worse in the coming months.

The Ports of Auckland problem is one of a severe lack of staff numbers, approximately 50 vacant positions currently.

This is not likely to change any time soon”

How this effects you, well my Container is due at Auckland on the 5th of December, that means with a possible 17 day delay that I won’t get at the tables until the 22^nd of December, If we get lucky I can deliver any Auckland orders in those days before

For any other areas getting a table before Xmas is nearly impossible

We will monitor the situation daily

If you don’t need the table before Christmas then please order to keep the existing prices locked in

I still have good stock of Outside /Inside type table but the others are all but gone
